Bonaventure Ngu, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who’s passionate about alleviating your back and neck pain, restoring your mobility, and educating you on how best to preserve and optimize your spinal health. At Premier Spine Institute in Woodlands, Texas, Dr. Ngu specializes in treating neck and back pain caused by degenerative conditions, deformity, and trauma.

Born in Cameroon, West Africa, Dr. Ngu obtained his doctor of medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center’s Shock Trauma Center.

At the Shock Trauma Center, Dr. Ngu developed an appreciation for the delicate and complex composition of the spine as well as a passion for helping patients with spinal injuries and disorders. He went on to complete a spine surgery fellowship at the Leatherman Spine Institute in Louisville, Kentucky.

Although he is an expert orthopaedic spine surgeon, Dr. Ngu always chooses the least invasive therapies possible to give you the best outcome and to minimize trauma to healthy tissues. He is a member of the LESSociety, which promotes less exposure surgery.
